.bathroom reveal.

Hello... It has been a few days.

We have been extra busy at our house trying to finish this bathroom remodel.  We are there.  It is done.
Our rustic, cottage bathroom is complete.

This post will be full of pictures.  Some may be similar, but taken from a different perspective.  Pictures tell the story better than I ever could.

I had an initial plan of using a seaside cottage as inspiration for our bathroom.  My perspective changed a bit through this process.  This space has become a collaboration of seaside (color), rustic, cottage.  The rustic simplicity of this room gives off a feeling of comfort.  It is not fancy, just comfortable

The design board below represents our initial design elements we had chosen for our bath.  All were used, with an exception being the sink base.  We chose to paint the base and distress it, rather than stain it dark.

.yes, that is sand in the jar holding toothbrushes.

As with any project, ideas can change as progress is made.  An initial idea is great for direction, but "work or play" in the space to get the true feel.  It took me a year to figure out what I wanted and needed to do in this room.  Yet still, I made changes to the original plan.

Lots to take in, I know...
I will give a tutorial in my next posting on how I made my shower curtain, products used, etc., and the before/after pictures of our driftwood mirror.  I have lots to share with you.

~Thanks again for all your comments and wonderful ideas. I enjoy reading each, and every one of them. I encourage any questions or comments to be left in the section directly below this post. Comments, suggestions, and feedback are greatly appreciated, and so fun to get too! Thanks for taking the time.  Heather
